Abstract:The problems of developing a numerical model to predict the movement of non-cohesive sediment in coastal situations are discussed. Existing wave and tidal models available at HR are considered and the way that they could be combined to model both waves and currents. The application of a theory of sediment transport under waves and currents to these situations is discussed.
