Abstract:Sediment transport in exposed shallow waters is such a complex subject that is extremely difficult to give estimates of siltation, maintenance dredging rates etc., within precise limits. This report covers the first part of this study and comprises a review of the latest theories on sediment transport and methods used in making long term predictions.
